I know somebody has already mentioned the colour (in the loosest sense) of this netbook but I thought they were exaggerating however the "colour" is by no means blue, midnight or otherwise. Having flashed it under various lights all around the house including halogens, incandescent bulbs and spot lights there really is no blue tint at all. I just hope the wife for whom it's a birthday present for likes it?

I bought this netbook for my son for his birthday to do GCSE homework on and he also uses it to surf the net etc. Its an excellent back up to his main PC as its portable. The Asus Seashell is stylish neat yet very powerful, great long battery life. He loves it, I love it and glad that all my extensive research for a netbook paid off!

It's not blue and looks nothing like in the pictures on Amazon. From a special angle, in the sunshine, there is a trace of blue sparkly pigment somewhere in the casing but really it's all but black as everyone who looked at the thing yesterday confirmed. Unless is was wrongly packaged but that seems unlikely, all stickers etc. say midnight blue. Don't buy for colour.
Anyone got a midnight blue that's actually blue and corresponds to the pictures??

this is an amazing machine, fast enough for everything you could want and so portable. I take mine on holiday with me and use free wifi spots to check my email, review and backup my photos

I am very pleased with this; it does exactly what I want. It's light, has enough battery life to be useful, connects easily via wi-fi or 3G stick (I haven't had cause to try the bluetooth connection yet) and has a perfectly adequate screen, keyboard and mouse pad. Even the charger is small and light.
