It was well-received, although the first one delivered had some faulty pixels. However this was promptly sorted.
No specific feedback but as indicated, it appears to fit the bill.
{I had intended to buy the Linux versionm but this appear to have been discontinued or no longer stocked by ?anyone. Was there a problem or just a lack of interest?

This is a very easy netbook to use, easy to use key board even for my large fingers, fast when starting up and light. The only fault as with all portable devices is the bag that holds the netbook is not big enough for the mains adaptor. Othrwise 10 out of 10

Got this PC for my wife and although it does everything pretty well, it's a little slow - the Atom processor does not handle muliple tasks well and the XP installation isn't the best as it keeps giving "cannot display" messages on the menu and icon bar which is, I guess, due to the screen size and might be common with other Netbooks? The inability to downsize desktop icons is annoying too. Battery life is also more like 4-5 hours rather than the advertised 7 which might happen only if you turned off wifi, turned screen brightness to minimum and ran no applications. What's the point of that? Overall it does work fine and is ideal for carrying around - the 160Gb hard drive and free online storage from ASUS are big pluses and one of the reasons I went for it (as well as the all-white case and neat neoprene carrying bag). It seems to rank in the middle of netbooks looking at reviews, and if you want something slightly higher performance the Samsung NC10 seems better but is more expensive - my friend has one and we've compared them, but I'm sticking to a regular laptop with more powerful processor and 4Gb RAM for now. My wife is very happy with it though - apart from occasional speed issues.

I've had this PC for two months now. I like it and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a small laptop / netbook to do general purpose PC stuff, which is after all what it is designed to do. If however you are looking for a powerful laptop, look elsewhere.
Good points:
- Fantastic battery life. 7 Hours claimed, I have achieved very close to this
- Small size but not particularly light
- Keyboard size quite acceptable (I was concerned that it might be too small)
- Screen is clear and very readable (I was concerned that it might be too small)
- It does well what it is designed to do
- I like the protective sleeve
- I like the Large hard drive 160 Gbytes
- It comes with a 2 years warrenty. Most of the competition only offer 12 months
Bad(ish) points:
- Not a power PC (if you need a power PC for gaming or graphics & wideo editing, look elsewhere)
- Hard drive partitioned into 2 drives C: and D: which is bit confusing if you do not understand partitions. Also a 50:50 partition split is not ideal.
- Asus keeps changing models so frequently its hard to keep up and know whether one is buying the latest model or a previous/ discontinued one.
- Its standard screen resolution is 1024*600 however, this is adjustable to 1024*768 virtual or 1024*768 compression.
- Maybe the next itteration should provide a slightly larger screen say 11" rather than 10.1" and a standard resolution of 1024*768. My Canon camera and printer software insisted on having a 1024*768 resolution before it would install. I opted for the 1024*768 virtual mode which was a bit irritating having to scroll up and down to see the full image. (The compression mode distorted the images)
Enjoy

Great little machine. Handy size and good battery life. The only difficulty is the trackpad is a bit fiddly. It seems to click and double click sometimes when you don't want to. It's easier to use a mouse.
You now get the 160GB drive for the same price. It's partitioned as 2 80GB drives. If you want to change that and keep XP, you need to be a bit clever about it, as a system restore reformats the system as NTFS.
