Great product, is as describe, very fast and user friendly, the only issue is that it can not handle very large external hard drives, to move files is better use a flash drive or a small external hard drive.

I'm very happy with this little machine, though I have have had a couple of Blue screens of Death - but that's probably due to 1 of the applications I have loaded on it. Nice speed and the battery lasts considerably longer than my laptop - though I only get around 6hrs not the 8.5 advertised. My wife and my 5 year old use it more than I do - it's perfect for my daugher to use Cbeebies web-site, small light and powerful enough for her to run all the games and watch the videos.



All in all a nice little machine.

This is an exciting laptop, it combines the light weight and great looks of the 1008HA in a slighly bigger package with a larger and more importantly, higher resolution screen. The battery life is also amongst the best of netbboks on the market as a result of a more efficient processor/chipset. Microsoft and Intel have attempted to control the netbook market by restricting the size of screen, speed of processor and amount of RAM (1GB) so that netbooks do not threaten more expensive laptops. This machine blurs that distinction. Asus have chosen to use the lower speed Z520 atom processor which runs at 1.33Ghz and like most netbooks (with the notable exception of the 1008HA)the RAM can be upgraded easily to 2GB. ASUS could have fitted the Z530 or Z540 processors which are only slightly more expensive than the Z520, unfortunately they did not and as a result this netbook runs much more slowly than similar netbooks eg the Samsung N120, N110. However the Z520 processor can be officially overclocked by adjusting the BIOS and in use using the "super hybrid engine" so that it clocks and performs like a 1.6Ghz Samsung N110 or Asus 1008HA-yippee! But, according to reports, this ability disapears as soon as you upgrade the RAM or the BIOS.

So this netbook could so easily have been the best of the current generation of netbooks (the next lot will have decent graphics) but unfortunately it just exposes the current cartel that is wintel.
